I just acquired a new high pressure chinese atlas compressor. It is driven by a chinese made 6 cyl-10 liter, 400 HP, common rail, intercooled, no DPF Yuchai engine. Of course user manual is in chinese (which I cannot read). At start up the compressor is designed to run at 1200 rpms. At full load it jumps to near 1900 rpms. It also comes with an engine preheater fueled by diesel. During spring and summer temperatures are between 15-38 Celsius. In winter time, minimums are around -5 to 0 (max around 15C).
Maybe the above it is not enough information , but I am just double checking that a good CI-4 15W-40 oil is ok.

Thanks.

I’m sure the machine would have ran on lesser oils than what we have here had it been in it’s country of origin. 15w40 will be fine.

What do you plan on using the compressor for? Can we see photos?
