$4.59 at Autozone (Autozone house brand)
$5.09 at Advance (house brand)
$5.19 at Napa (Napa house brand)
$4.99 at Pep Boys (Gunk)
$4.29 at Carquest (Pyroil)

But only $2.58 for the Prestone brand at Walmart. Even though the price is listed as $6.27 online, it's actually marked $2.58 in-store.

Kmart doesn't seem to stock Honda PSF.

Amazon has a case of 12 bottles for $27.54, Mag 1 brand.

Walmart has more bulk buying power, that is why many things are cheaper there. Also, there is more shelf space, which makes it easier to stock a larger variety of items and make possible the sale of slower moving products.

Yeah I know, but even accounting for that, the price difference is way too much! I mean, if any of the other stores had it under $4 then OK. Those other parts stores could still make money selling it for a dollar less than they do.

Kmart's sale prices are reasonably close to Walmart's prices, and other fluids at parts stores can even be competitive (including non-Honda PSF).

AAP has the discount codes, but they make you pay with a credit card and don't accept cash (Napa lets you order online and pay in-store when you pick up, which allows them to take cash).

I'm not changing it, just topping off because it happens to be low (just under the lower line on the reservoir). I don't think it needs to be changed,

PSF, not Brake fluid.

I just buy the OEM fluid at the dealership. I know I am getting a quality product, I have paid as low as $2.60 for a bottle but no more than $5. It depends whose there.

oops, long day

My Honda dealer had a great price if I bought 5 bottles of Honda PSF online and picked it up, vs showing up at the counter and buying it. It was like double. He agreed that it made no sense to him, either. I think you could just check around.

I've used Bardahl first and now Prestone for Honda/Acura on an 01 Civic now with 210k miles, original pump and rack, still good to go, knock wood. Plan on doing same with turkey baster soon on an Accord.

yes my civic with 180k+ has original pump & rack as well no leaks at all...

most effective way would be front tires in the air and then turn wheels side to side while someone else tops off the reservoir and the return line empties into a clear container to see when the fluid is new only...do that every 60-100k, your fluid will stay fresh, it literally used 2 pint prestone honda psf bottles from walmart...
