From the Wix website, Product Innovation page:

Has anybody seen a Wix with a combo by-pass and anti-drain back valve? How does it compare to Champion's?

So if they're the first ...then the Ecore is old news

I too wonder what WIX filter has the combo flapper??

their bypass is in combination with their anti-drain back valve. Yes they are two seperate pieces but they are in combination with each other when they mate together in assembly of the filter. Look at it. The bypass valve sits on top of the filter element, then the adb-valve sits on top of the bypass, than the mounting plate sits on top of it all when it is than pressed into its outer shell can and sealed.

I believe this is simlar to most Wix and older Champion filters. Basically it's the threaded end bypass.

Okay ...now we're back to "space normal" status

(visions of obiwan waving his hand as he speaks and getting the response)
"These aren't the valves we're looking for ..Move along ..move along .."
