WIX 51358XP C&P

Just got my oil filter cutter today, first C&P with it!

Filter is a WIX 51358XP off of a 2018 Kawasaki STX15f. The filter only had about 3 hours on it. I took it off to see if the louvres were nice and open or not, well they were. However, this filter is in a horrible spot and I dented it during removal.

Build quality looks exceptional compared to the other WIX C&Ps here recently. Leaf spring looks nice and smooth, no excessive glue.

If I’m paying $$$$ for a XP I want silicone adbv. To each their own.

I completely agree. I don’t see any reason for a manufacturer to continue with nitrile ADBV nowadays.

In went nothing and on went a WIX 51358. This WIX is the last of my stash for this watercraft. I didn’t add any oil. I was over filled before removing filter and then right in the middle after.

It has Rotella T6 15w40, the third brand of oil it’s seen. It’s had Kawasaki OEM, Liquimoly, and now Shell Rotella.
 
I have owned Kawasaki jet skis for decades. What a horrible location for the oil filter. I feel for you….
Agree, should be silicone.
I’ve cut my arms open more time than I can count on the portion of the fuel line that connects to the fuel rail in an attempt to remove the filter 😂.
