I bought a Permatex kit and followed the instructions. After 30 min, I pulled the suction thingy and the resin flowed out. I did not find anything "solid" to cut off, but the crack disappeared...

After awhile the crack/chip started to reappear.

Where can I get replacement adhesive strips or is there a better way?

Should I have left it out longer?

How much "sunlight" does it need to cure?

Motorplex,

Did you know that most states have a law in which...... Your insurance company will replace your windshield for free if it has a decent sized crack.

I tried that stuff on a rental car once and it didn't work out. I don't think it hid the crack for very long...once I turned on the heat the windshield was done. Carwashes are bad for cracks too. That one cost me about 400 bucks extra for a two day rental.

FYI, a Gold CitiBank mastercard doesn't have rental insurance which makes the "gold" part pretty fraudulent.

Cheers, Steve
