will HDEO harm my cats

Ok, I get it that little to no oil consumption means no problem, but exactly what is little consumption? Since the car will have such little use, and I will change the oil yearly, with probably no more than 2000 miles on it, I will never know if it will burn a little in say 3or4 K. So if it say uses a pint in the 2000 mile period, would that be a little or a lot? And since I don't know that as of yet, I suppose I should use low P oil till I know how much if any oil it uses. Right? Which would mean I should change the oil in the spring before I drive it , and put in PCMO in stead of HDEO.

if the cats fail within the next 30k miles or 15 years, it won't be because of the hdeo....

Confused why you’re running such an oil in that engine. Sound like it is running great and calls for 5w20. You can buy 5qt bottles of FS Super Tech or Rotella Gas truck for $15 American pesos and this wouldn’t be a concern anyways. Did I miss something in the OP about why they’re running HDEO?
