Will a shop install a transmission I buy?

That’s plenty fair. I know we see a lot of shops claiming to use OE stuff when in reality it’s not.

Or claiming parts are bad when they are not, just to pad the bill.

Do no trust they will put in a quality part but are trusting them to do the job right with your part?

Just approved a transmission replacement for a 2020 Connect, the Ford dealer is accepting a unit from the fleet company. We'll see how this goes...almost a $10k repair on a vehicle with 80k...they had to repair a misfire before properly diagnosing the transmission. 3 year warranty on the transmission.

The only Ford I would ever consider buying would be a hybrid Maverick. I've had more bizarre and expensive repairs on these Fords than anything else. We've switched to buying GMs.
