Will a flat spot wear in?

So I have a flat spot on one of my front tires. Guess it's from when I locked up the tires slightly pulling a trailer with no brakes. I mean they didn't lockup, but they just chirped a few times coming to a stop for a light. Normally I would have just went, but a cop was sitting nearby. So will this flatspot wear away after a while or not really?

Be careful. Flat spotted tires can be very unpredictable. They can be dangerous in my experience and should not be trusted especially at high speed. Of course one could test drive it around the neighborhood a while (will likely prove it will not repair itself) if you cant face having to replace a tire you do not want to. But I would bet a few drives around will prove to you , bite the bullet and replace will be the smart/safe thing to do.

If you rptate them & put it on the back, emergency braking will be less dangerous because a panic stop shifts weight to the front tires-which do most of the braking anyway. It will eventually wear down & go away.

The actions you posted above would not cause a flat spot on a tire that you can feel while driving.
Look for some other problem or swap tires around.

Yes, that description says "damaged tire" now that you mention it. Not what most know as a flat spotted tire from sitting too long without being moved. Even more of a concern I would think.
