Wild Rice

I have a cottage on an island on Lake of the Woods, Ontario Canada, and regularly drive my boat through channels bordered by the stuff to get to it.
This past week I saw a rice-picker being towed past my place on it's way down to the south end of the lake to begin the season's harvest.
It's marketed under the Shoal Lake Wild Rice Brand.

I don't know from which province the wild rice that I buy comes. I know it's lake wild rice, as opposed to paddy-grown rice.

Wild rice, maple syrup and McIntosh apples. Not bad, eh?
