Wife’s new scooter….

Just picked up this 2022 Honda Metropolitan so we can ride the neighborhood together. It’s a 49cc water cooled engine with fuel injection. Honda claims 110 mpg so maybe one fill up per year. The paint on this is amazing quality and fit and finish is a 10. It’s slower than my Zuma, but it will go better as it breaks in.

I wonder how many scooters Honda sells around the world? I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed car sales in a lot of places, especially since used car imports are such a big thing in the developing world.

overseas scooters + mopeds are the norm for cheep transport as gas is $$$$$ + many people only have $! nice toy but walking is healthier!!

It looks nice but I like that Zuma better. It was easier years ago when anything under 50cc didn't need a plate or insurance or for you to even have a driver's licence.

Personally, we are into using bikes so we can go do minor errands and get exercise at the same time. I’d have fears of going too fast with traffic on a scooter like that on any main roads around here. Too many cars. But I can see the potential for a machine like that. Would be fun! That was the main reason. Our daughter is moving back so it’s about 2 miles through the subdivisions. Easy way to get there and I know she’ll be over there a lot.

Lots of fun! Except for once when I rented one on Grand Bahama that was so worn out that the front end would go into death wobble mode if you hit a bump just right.

My grandparents have these for when they are camping by the beach. I highly doubt they would be able to walk the 20 miles they usually ride.

My local Honda dealer has about 10 of these in stock but haven’t had a Trail 125 in stock for about 8 months. I believe they both come out of the same Thailand factory. I want my Trail 125 already.

Wow, I looked global Honda auto sales per year. They sell 3 times as many motocycles/scooters per year as they cars.
