Why did this car stop burning oil??

My gf has a 1994 Toyota Camry, with 196k miles on the engine. For the past 30k miles, the engine burned a quart every 1000 miles, which was not to bad.
Recently, i made a few changes:
1. replaced plugs and wires
2. New air filter (old one was BLACK, at least 3 years old)
3.she was using FRAM filters for the vehicle life and i put on an the first ACDELCO during the last oil change.
4. started using mobil drive clean around 15k back.
The car no longer burns any oil, at least not at this oil change cycle. Right now its summer in NY, and its been around 80-95 degrees and this car usually burns oil a bit faster, but it has not moved on the stick, and its been 2500 miles. Any ideas?? i dont know whats causing this miracle?

Was the previous oil by any chance Valvoline... Sorry Tall Paul I couldnt resist.
Changing the air filter can help it was really stopped up.
You didnt by chance change the PCV valve did you?
It may be thicker than your previous oil even if they were both 10W-30. This will reduce consumption. Check the Vicosity at 100C (212F) on their spec sheets or in th Virgin Oil Analysis here.
You have had some deposits in the cylinder ring land and you have cleaned them out. Mobil DriveClean is a Group I oil so it has a fair amount of Aromatics which can act as mild solvents and it also has a good dose of calcium (Detergent). Maybe the the two together managed to get rid of the deposit.
If you had asked before the change I would have told you to try a 15W-40 HDEO like Mobil Delvac 1300 for the same reasons. LOTS of Detergents and its thicker.
