Why are cheap SA grade oils still being sold?

I'll have to check on the funnel business. I've never had the need to ask. When I had an oil burner, I carried a funnel.

That's exactly what happened to my uncle's Shell. When he retired, the person who took over didn't do too well, and it became a car dealership, and still is to this day. His little warehouse across the street was bulldozed and an adjacent business bought the land and expanded.

We still do have some full service stations. The Co-ops are either full service or do both. The older Co-ops are full service only and are more of a traditional station. The newer ones have both and tend to have more of a convenience store thing going on.

Petro-Canadas tend to have enough automotive fluids (their own, legitimate, quality brand) in stock to actually do things like a complete oil change or a coolant flush, if one so desired. Other places barely stock enough to top up two vehicles that are low on oil.
