Ok, this is probably a strange topic, but here goes. I have needed glasses for years for distance, and for the past 7 or so for "up-close" ie bi-focals. I have an astygmatism, and my eyes Require a "non-standard" base curve. Just got an eye exam, a new perscription, and my bi-focals needed increased by "3-clicks" Got my glasses (plastic lenses, non-glare coating, progressive lenses, and transition changing) I couldn't wear them! Nothing focused "right" DR decided that the new script was too "sudden" of a change, sent them back with a revision and a "backed-off" perscription. 2 weeks later, I get them back, they seem "good" for a while, and now, after wearing them for a few hours, my eyes are "tired and burning" Just as though they have the "wrong" base curve. These all around were throughly checked when I picked them up the last time. The Eye Dr has been very nice, gave me a huge discount for my month of trouble (two scratched lenses added time to this) and I am now at a loss, and almost ready to just go back to my old pair...These seem to have such a narrow "sweet-spot" I am suspecting my eyes are tiring/straining when not looking "directly" through it "all" the time. I haven't been back to the Dr yet..anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences? BTW, the lenses were "made" at a lab off-site from my Optomatrist. Thanks all!
