I must be the only man in the world that does this. My left eye is dominant so it works out. My father was left handed and showed me how to shoot when I was a little kid and I guess this is where I got it. I dont know for sure. I shoot pool left handed also. Or a bow. Anything with two hands I do left handed but I shoot a pistol with my right hand. It seems strange and I get some grief from my friends in a joking type of way but its just the way I am.

I'm left handed and shoot right. During training my instructor were like you are one of those!!!! I really struggled with defensive's techniques and having the strong arm, my non shooting hand. I looked kinda funny doing things for a while..

interesting. My right eye is not so good to begin with. In fact, its not good at all but my left is way stronger. Eye tests have proven it and I almost wonder if its not a part of nature. In any case it worked out for me for the best in a strange way.

I am fairly strongly left eye dominant but shoot right handed, but am teaching myself to shoot left handed. On the good side of things when I shoot left handed I can easily keep both eyes open. On the bad side it just doesn't feel all that comfortable and can't shoot so well one handed.

I am right handed, Shoot right handed, but draw a Bow (Archery) Left handed. Just feels the right thing to do.

Left hand - throw, bat, basketball, and most sports Right hand - golf, shoot, write. It's very strange, some things I'm right handed and some are left.

I am right handed but shoot a rifle/shotgun left handed. Do very well that way. Strangely, I shoot handguns right handed. Always put this down to my dad being left handed and my mom right handed. But who knows??

You should be shooting with both eyes open and the dominate eye will pick up the front site. If you choose to shoot with one eye closed it does not matter. It is very easy to determine which eye is the dominate one. It’s not about what eye sees better, it’s about what eye is dominate, the other eye follows the dominate one.

I shoot rifle left handed, pistol right handed and cannot aim a bow at all because my left eye is dominant. It must work okay for me though, I scored Expert in the Army.

nomocheys, I'm right eye dominant and must shoot pistols right handed BUT shoot rifles left handed! Why I can't say but that's how I bust caps. Durango

I'm left handed but I naturally shoot right, if that counts. I don't seem to have a dominant eye, though. In the last few years I've started shooting both just to see what would happen. Nothing happened. After a couple of adjustment shots I can't tell any difference in my shooting whether it's left hand/left eye or right hand/right eye. IME lefties tend to be more ambidextrous than righties. This switching annoys my brother in law who shot competitively in his teens and what an expert marksman in the service. I'm not an amazing shot but I'm not bad either. When the BIL is shooting 1" groups I'm there with 3" either hand. Probably if I just picked one and stayed with that I'd be better but for me it's more fun to mix it up.

That's pretty common but not optimal obviously. You can train/condition your brain to right eye dominance which would fix your problem. There's a lot of articles about doing this on the interwebs.

Left handed here but shoot right handed. Play the drums right handed too. About the only thing I do left handed is write and throw a ball.
