I always get a kick out of the fact the people who are adamment that there's a HG problem live in a climate where there is no winter. It's as if they really can't comprehend just how cold it gets in many parts of not-California, and that that cold might just make engines do weird things.
Anyway, I see white milky goo in my BMW, my Audi, small engines at work, and many other gas engines.
I don't like it, but it's normal. The valve cover never gets hot enough to vaporize it when it's 5F with a fan blowing on it.
At least in my case, it won't go away until spring.
