Helping a friend swap heads on his '63 Land Rover. Cleaning up the block while the head gets overhauled and noticed this. The engine has good oil pressure and no unusual sounds so a new set of followers and he's good to go. Probably looking at a full rebuild in the near future, but the driving season is short here and this toy sees maybe 500 mi/yr so the head goes back on for now. Also, some OE/OEM bits are not readily found and aftermarket parts quality is questionable, so there is the tired engine vs. questionable parts quality, fresh rebuild calculation.
