I have a 2013 Ford Edge it has the Dex clone antifreeze in there at the moment, I would like to get that out of there, either get the updated Ford yellow, or AMAM extended life in there. My question is, this is something that I'm going to be changing out every other year. Any particular brand I should go with? Or just supertech or Napa will be sufficient?

And why do you think that would extend its life?
Well Ford recommends, doing it every 3 years, after the initial change, so I figured I would do it every two. I figured keeping the seals fresh, all rust and corrosion out of the system would be a good idea. I do yearly, oil analysis as well, Because I really am not looking forward to a $3,000 water pump job.. so I figured I would do anything. That might help. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Motorcraft Yellow is supposed to be the best now according to Ford and it is compatible with the Motorcraft Orange (DexCool).

Zerex G-05…

I've read that that is not compatible with DexCool. G-05 is the equivalent of Ford Motorcraft Gold

I guess I would just get the Motorcraft Yellow and be done with it or keep the DexCool. I don't think the cost savings of another brand is going to be that much.

$10 a gallon difference and my plan was to purchase, 4 gallons, so I could do 4 drain & fills over the coarse of a month.

Prestone AMAM with Cor-Guard=MC Specialty Yellow, and is completely compatible with both Dexcool and MC Specialty Orange. I had a leaky '18 3.7 Transit 250, the dealer mixed Yellow liberally with the original Orange (WITHOUT even a drain & fill), and by the end it was getting used Dexcool from the Express in my sig! Didn't seem to hurt it much, although the tank became Dexcool colored...

Should I bother replacing the thermostat? While doing the radiator? It works properly.. should I leave it be? The vehicle has I think 113 K
