when I put the TV on, 5:25pm CST/6:25 EST, Storm Stories for more than hour during the local news cast time slots. You know, when people sit down and actually watch TV.

Uggh. Are they about to go under? With such lack of programming it can't be a good sign for them.

It seems reporting the weather is too boring for them these days. Reality TV is hotter I guess.

I have to wait for the local news to get the weather.

I was just about to say that it's just like MTV, lol.

Although I must admit, I'm a bit of a weather enthusiast/buff, so I do enjoy the storm shows.

Agree, but they still need to break in every 10 minutes with local weather.

I was gonna say the EXACT SAME THING!!

weatheroffice.gc.ca for me.
Yeah, I hear you about stuff like that, but I just stop using that method and check it all online. It's there whenever you want it, and updated every 10 minutes (at least this site is)

The Weather Channel is now part of the NBC conglomerate owned by GE, and soon the entertainment division of NBC may be sold to Comcast? or some other cable organization. Rating are the most important thing and they for a while were even showing movies on Friday and Saturday night. A few missed tornado outbreaks ended that. Now they just show their specials.

This is where I go, I have it in the bookmark toolbar on firefox, I set it up to go directly to radar, then type in my zip for the forecast, they also have the extended forecast... I despise news now, it's worthless on TV any of it is just a halfbreed between advertising, and reality TV.... Why on earth will you get breaking weather news due to severe weather in form of thunderstorm/tornado etc but you get the couple of minutes ( it seems like minutes maybe seconds) this breaking news brought to you by

Yeah.....let's not forget TLC as well!

I use the Weather Underground and NOAA as well online for weather. As for television, I watch local weather out of Memphis.
I can't really remember the last time I watched the Weather Channel.
