I sucked out the PS Fluid. Our recycle center has oil and coolant tanks for recycle. Where should I have put the PS fluid? I dumped it in the oil.

Pour it into your used motor oil container.
All automotive fluids except for gasoline and anti-freeze can be mixed with used motor oil.

Oil is right...sure isn't coolant!

Most places that take used motor oil will tell you to put PS fluid, ATF, gear oil and brake fluid in with oil....but this varies by state and recycler, so it's always best to ask...

I just pour it in with my used ATF since its the same stuff...
And all that in with my used oil because ATF is well, oil...

Burn is burn.

I always mix oils with oils and I simply don't say anything to the recycler. I know AZ used to complain if PS Mineral oil was put in with motor oil, but the way I see it, it's an oil, they're gonna filter & separate it all out anyway.

I don't put carb or brake sprays in, that I let evaporate.

I once brought 10quarts of old gear lube (80w90) and of course it smells that gear lube smell.

they refused to take it. I had to make them call their district manager and he told them it was acceptable. they took it, but weren't happy with me.

lol halarious. It goes in a large steel tank it's not like it's going to smell the entire store up.

My local garbage pickup company does motor oil pickup and they've told me that any petroleum based fluids are (so gear oil is OK) but isn't brake fluid glycol based more like antifreeze? I would think some PS fluids would be closer to brake fluid than oil too. I will have to check on this.
