Where to find a good HELOC Loan?

I'm wanting to get a HELOC Loan soon. Where's a good place to get one? I know rates are higher right now, I don't mind. I'm in Cal. Thanks

check out bogleheads. there is an entire thread on HELOCs and banks folks have worked with.

Generally, I would suggest a local credit union or small local bank.

I completely agree.

As a former California Real Estate Broker, I've seen a lot of people dig financial holes for themselves by obtaining HELOC loans they were, sometimes, never able to recover from.

Just my .02 as well.

@wpod and @Ed_Flecko hit the nail on the head. Debt is never a good idea, but if at all possible, I'd wait another 2-1/2 years or so, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
