Where can you buy 10w40 restore and protect oil?

I suspect that's some kind of tax biggery to "save the earth."
It's not the first time I've seen Australian retailers scalping and jacking up the price of everything in demand. I remember back when battlefield 2 came out, it was like double the price in Australia adjusted for exchange rate.

I will be using Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 plus a thicker synthetic 20W-50 Valvoline oil to produce a xxW40 weight oil for my 2001 E320 Benz.

I'll use this calculator to determine the correct ratio of the two different oil viscosities:

Depending on the formulation it might diminish the cleaning effects. From the sounds of it they are striking a careful balance between protection and cleaning. Unless there was some sort of neutral thickening agent you used. Using a 50 weight might require a ratio so high it dilutes the 5w30 too much. However if you used like a 60 or 80 weight similar to the thickness of Lucas oil stabilizer you might be able to add less and get a higher weight.

If you are after the cleaning properties why not just go with HPL? They will undoubtedly be cheaper than shipping oil from Australia, which is frankly, ridiculous!

Absolutely what I'd do! And probably cost you a fraction of the price too. And we know that stuff cleans without a doubt!

Do you have any video proof or testimonials on here that can back that up? Like before and after photos?
