....decent oil filter in Canada? All I can ever seem to find is Fram. I really don't want to have to order any. Why is there nothing decent on the shelves?

Where is Canada City? I've never heard of it. Anyhow, most cities in Canada will have a NAPA or Carquest. You can get their premium filters, both of which are made by Dana to identical specs. Or, go to Canadian Tire and get a K&N oil filter, which is my personal fave.

You could try a green-on-white Quaker State oil filter, I believe they're a Purolator in different dress.
It could be different in Canada, but in the US Quaker State started sourcing their filters from Fram anfter Quaker State was bought out by Penzoil.
