When oils get a revision....

...do oil companies bother telling the public? I mean - obviously - Mobil Tri-Syn. was completely reformulated and renamed as SuperSyn. Do other companies do the same, or just keep it hush, hush? Thanks, Oz
A lot of them will tell the public as they'll rename the oil (such as Pennzoil with Pennzane for example) But a lot of them (such as Castrol Syntec, or Maxlife) will make major changes to their formula and not advertise it. It's hard to follow sometimes, but hanging around this site ensures that you get the latest info on everything! [Happy] [ August 15, 2002, 03:46 PM: Message edited by: Patman ]
They don't even tell the distributors. Some changes we (distributors) stumble upon by reading their specs on line, others we can thank Bob or others for by posting on this board.
