Good evening,

I would like to greasethe wheel bearings on a 1990 toyota corolla. Here are the greases available to me:

Cheers

1. Top 1 hi temp synthetic lithium grease spec sheet:https://top1oil.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/10620-10621-10622-10624-10625-10627-PDS.pdf

2. Chevron moly ep 2 grease spec sheet :https://shop.sclubricants.com/pub/m...ron-Moly-Greases-EP-2-Technical-Datasheet.pdf

3. Delo Starplex ep 2: https://shop.sclubricants.com/pub/m...-Starplex-EP-2-Grease-Technical-Datasheet.pdf

Delo starplex 2 grease spec sheet says not for cv joints. 😀 probably not a good idea to use it on inner cv joints.

4. Mobil xhp 222 spec sheet:https://pdfgenerator-west.exxonmobi...download/GL-XX-Mobilgrease-

Cheers

Do you know the mean diameter of the bearing? (ID + OD)/2... smaller diameter needs more viscous base oil.

is it a ball bearing, roller bearing, or spherical roller bearing? Roller bearings need more viscosity than ball bearing.

What speeds do you run at? The slower you run, the higher the viscosity.

How hot can they get?

You don't want grease with MoS2 or graphite in it as a cv joint grease would have.

The top 1 has very high viscosity, maybe ideal if you have roller bearings with a small diameter, run hot and slow. Usefull but might induce a bit more drag otherwise.

The chevron moly has moly, and a low viscosity, would not use this.

the mobil xhp 222 or chevron starplex seem good for ball bearings.
