I was just curious of everyones OCI's and what kind of oil they use. Also, the make of the vehicle would be a plus.

I have had great success with 10k intervals on my previous cars with mobil 1. I now want to see just how long i can keep one of my cars. Honestly, i would love to see 600k on my odometer, and my past toyota 4x4 had 419k so i know i can get there!

When do you guys change your synthetic?? How many miles do you have?? Any friction related problems yet?

My current plan is to run Mobil 1 5w-30 for 10k mile OCI, in a 2003 chevy cavailer 2.2L ecotec. I feel that knowing others OCI's and there stories will help in my decision. Thanks.

Im sorry, I meant i plan to run Mobil 1 5w-30 for 7.5k miles in the chevy, not 10k.

I use Mobil one in everything, 1978 Ranchero, 1999 Jeep Wrangler, 1997 Eldordo, and 1988 Toyota 4x4. All go 5000-6000 as the OCI and new filter.

Ranchero has 190,000 bought new
1988 Toyota has 345,000 bought new
1997 Eldo has 63,000 bought used with 51,000
1997 Wrangler has 53,000 bought used with 48,000

I have a 2003 Mazda B4000 and I plan to start this change @ 5000 mile OCI with M1 5w30. My wife's 2003 Mazda MPV goes 5000 miles with M1 0w20. I plan to get 200k+ out of both.

Depends on the engine and driving conditions, climate.
92 Toyota Amsoil 10W30 @7500 (166,000 miles)
96 Mystique, Amsoil 0W30 once a year (10,12,000 miles) 95,000 miles
2000 Buick GSE, Amsoil 10W30 12,000 miles, 61,000 total
97 Isuzu Rodeo, 7500 10W30 (103,000 miles)
97 Mitsubishi 3000 VR4 once a year, 10W30 but less then 5000 miles/year 25,000 miles.

0W-40 in the turbodiesel is the factory recommended 10,000km.

In my 4Runner, usually at about 12,000km.
