What's the shortest OCI suggested by an OLM?

Has anyone's oil light come on significantly before, say, 4000 miles?

I'm only talking about "real" OLM's like GM and recent Honda that actually calculate it based on parameters, ie. not simply a mileage counter.

Anyone have the light come on at 2000 miles?

Had an 07 Chevy Express van 2500 that was driven in NYC and it usually came on between 2500-3000 miles.

safety margin i would guess. 2500-3000 ensures the oil isnt in bad shape, yet.

our RDX's is usually less then 4000 miles especially in winter and its programmed for synthetic oil!

luckily I stock up on PP when its on sale so oil change costs are kept to a minimum

Also the RDX sees a lot of city driving (5 days a week).
