What's the last thing you decided to buy for yourself?

The logo was designed by Peter Good of Chester CT. He was a friend and customer of mine.
I saw maybe 3 years ago that CT has Hartford Whalers license plates. The older I've gotten, the more appreciative I am, that I grew up in CT, at least K to age 18. Even to this day, my public high school is highly ranked.

Big Filson fan, here. Tin Cloth Jacket. Wool liner. Shirts. Dry tin cloth pants. Luggage.

I’ve even been to the Filson Store in Seattle.
Not heard of Filson...in college, I loved Pendleton. Would buy them at thrift stores, sometimes new with tags. By the time I moved as a single guy to Phila., they'd been mostly all eaten by moths. Googled Filson, and their stuff looks nice.

Filson put a store in Naperville, IL before I left there. I don't know anywhere that you can find better quality clothing or more expensive.
I just googled and $250 for a wool shirt, I would say yes that's very expensive. Looks like Pendleton (also googled now) gets up to $179. Also expensive....

I had a 30 year old el cheapo electric impact wrench that couldn’t loosen a 3/8” bolt. I decided to buy this:

You better be careful tightening any size bolt with this. It has a stupid amount of torque, around 850 pound feet.

We splurged and bought a new fancy double basket air fryer just for us
as we use the current one 3-4x a week and its getting old.. not quite new performance.

I tell you whose wallets not to buy.. duluth trading.
Got gifted one.. it self destructed in 6 months.. in 1/4th the time of cheapo wallets.
Duluth replaced it.. and the replacement frayed in 3 months.
Have a Columbia wallet($30-$40) now but after 1.5 years stretched and cards fall out. o_O

$150 is abit much for me but I'd probably pay upto 70-80 for a nice one.

very nice there wash abit of an impact wrench desert where everyone just had old models for a few years now GREAT new models are spouting faster than weeds in spring.

My dewalt dcf899 is making squeaky noises.. I got the new ryobi high torque(PBLIW01)
that has better stats for $70 earlier this year.

Still use my m12 stubby as much as anything. I want the new version but its not needed at this point.

I recently pulled my old (new in box) forgotten about Craftsman C3 1/2" impact wrench from storage and got an adapter that lets it run my LXT batteries. I haven't needed it yet and may not need it very often for anything. I will be using it in the Spring when I replace the mower blades on my JD zero turn. If it gives me the slightest bit of difficulty, I'm throwing it in the bottom drawer of the toolbox and buying myself a new Makita impact wrench, probably the mid torque. I can't imagine myself ever needing the power of a high torque, but then again overkill IS underrated.

We had a flat tire on a very large grain wagon that has airplane tires. The lug nuts hadn't been off in many years, if ever. We tried to break the nuts loose with a breaker bar and a cheater. We had about 4.5' of leverage and nobody could get a single nut to break loose. My brother used this impact wrench and it took the nuts off without breaking a sweat. 1,100 lb/ft of loosening torque has amazing power. He bought his own later that day.

Instead of being labeled "Brushless" it should be "Ruthless"

Ouch on the price because my lovely wife and kids would probably toss it in "the drawer" and the dishwasher, BUT.......

Does a new heating element for the oven to replace the one that burnt out Christmas Eve while cooking for family to come over count as buying something for yourself? A nice new stove with convection oven would be nice but this is much more affordable with graduations and wedding upcoming in next couple months.

I have the Milwaukee High Torque 1/2" impact so probably won't ever need another in my lifetime but that Makita is very nice!

They were in the WHA when I was a little kid. This part I can't remember--that is when they played in the Hartford Civic Center vs. Boston or Springfield. I have (maybe I should say I had as I don't know where it would be) a large circular patch with the harpoon. I can remember a classmate Chris singing Brass Bonanza when scoring while playing street hockey, and back then, it annoyed me! But today? It's likely the best goal song ever made....

I lived in Edmonton for the first two years of the WHA. The first season ('72/73), the team was the Alberta Oilers, changed to the Edmonton Oilers for the 2nd season.

I still have an Alberta Oilers crest.
