I have a 1998 V6 4WD that I use as a daily driver and I also 4 wheel it. I'm currently using Mobile 1 5W-30 every 7500 miles with a M1 filter as well. I'm considering changing to Amsoil Series 2000 0W-30 because I hear I can get away with changing the oil once a year and changing the filter every six months. WHat should I use? Thoughts?

I have the same 3.4L V6 in my Tundra. I've been using dino (castrol, penn, QS) and changing every 3-4K miles. How many miles do you drive in a year? IMO synthetics don't last 4-5 times longer than dino, so they dont really justify the cost. But if you drive a lot of miles and dont want to change oil every 2 weeks, then I can see where synthetic would be nice. Especially if you offroad (dirt) I would think its good to change out the oil more often, but thats just me.
