What things do you prefer the cheap version of?

I love cheap silverware, you don't worry if you scratch it up, and it's usually so thin that it actually works better at cutting stuff and stabbing salad.

For me, I've always loved cheap rollerball ink pens. Like the Bic pens that you can get a pack of 12 at the dollar tree.

I'm not sure exactly why but I've always found them satisfying to write with and I use them almost exclusively.
1911's. I've owned Wilson Combat Supergrade, Les Baer, etc. and a stupid $400 Taurus will run better. Imagine my disgust.

mandolin slicer for kitchen - the big 100.00 ss one didnt work as well as the 20 dollar cheapie

Razors. The cheap 5 and 6 blade store brand sold at Walmart or Market Basket are darn fine razors.

If you get the cheap ones with the tiny dots on the blade, they are the best. I am convinced the same supplier makes the blades for anything from the cheap-O's to the Cadillacs - just look for the dots.

I prefer a cheaper TP oddly enough, I guess the sandpaper feel makes me think it is doing a better job? I also only blow my nose with paper towels, not a fan of soft kleenex

I thought I was the only one! Scott’s became my favorite but my wife vetoed that the first time she used it so we use angel soft. I also hate Kleenex, paper towels are great till you run your nose raw… but then I keep using it because if I wanted snot on my hands I would have just used my hands in the 1st place.
