What old parts do you hang on to?

I am a car audio pack rat.

I still have a Kenwood KDC-2025 receiver, KGC-4042 EQ, and KTC-SR901 Sirius receiver, a Bazooka EL8-A subwoofer (with a Legacy poly 8" sub - believe it or not it was an improvement over the paper SAS Bazooka sub) Polk EX10 sub, various enclosures (some custom some pre-made) damaged Eclipse 15" (overexcursion needs to be re-coned) Alpine Type S 6.5s, Polk GXR 6.5s, eXcelon component 5.25s...etc... I tried to sell them when a friend of my wife got a booth at Trader's Village(giant flea market in Grand Prairie)

They bought all the ricey parts I removed from my Integra GS-R. They bought the Civic 14" steelies with badly worn and age hardended Dunlops. The only thing that I sold audio-wise was that stupid Eclipse sub that was damage. (I told him it was damaged. "Es Malo, Mucho movimiento.") So I keep all that stuff for my next trip. Maybe I can barter with it

It's a good thing I have several scissor jacks, including one BMW one, I've never owned a BMW... some other guy must never lock his.

I used them to jack up a wall of my house while I slid (banged) a new sill in. I wouldn't have cared if they got stuck in there forever but I fished them out of the crawl space later.

Now they're holding up my porch which got springy over the winter. One of these days I'm getting under there for real.

I'd have to take pictures or you wouldn't believe me. How about several sets of Chryco points in the original packaging? How about an ancient Fel-Pro gasket display, still loaded up?

Those might actually be worth something to a collector or restorer...

LOL, I have too much to mention, some of the larger stuff including a 1969 428 Cobra Jet engine and a 289 from a '68 Cougar... There are a five or six transmissions and a mostly complete 1988 Turbo Coupe parts car... It did loose it's gas tank last fall for another I was selling... Also have all the parts to convert my '88 T-Bird street/strip runner to the larger 351 Windsor engine...

No doubt a couple dozen car radios...

Probably enough Snapper lawnmower parts to build one, but since I'd need to swap a crank in the spare 4Hp engine not much chance in that(yeah I have a spare parts engine for the spare engine) ...

Probably. I had a bunch of Case tractor points, too, back from before it was even Case IH. I got rid of some, but kept a few samples.

As for the gaskets, I have no idea what applications they even fit. They've also been hanging there for at least twenty-five years.

Old used parts? None whatsoever. I don't keep clutter, and I'm not a pack rat.

I do keep some new parts ready, such as a complete tune up set for the tractors, a carb rebuild kit, and a few odds and ends for the vehicles (an extra set of wipers, bulbs, etc). But if it something I've removed and replaced, then I have no use for it and it's garbage.

I kept my stock Neon springs, they are super soft and I think they would be good for something like ice racing or maybe the inside springs for an oval car.
Silly things though are like the pair of oil injector pumps off my snowmobiles...
I do keep bits of metal around though, they come in handy sometimes.
Also I kept the 3 used oil filters off my tractor, just in case I poke a stick through one on the machine, then I can get it up and running if I really needed too.
Some amount of junk hoarding is good though as it weighs down my shed and keeps it from blowing away!
