Hi, what oil would be the best for the small diesel engine with chain as timing belt?
For now I am using shell helix ultra diesel 5w40, but that oil has low viscosity at 40°C and 100°C compared to the others( Selenia WR 5w40, Total quartz 9000 energy etc.)
Should I use oil with higher viscosity index and viscosity at 40°C, 100°C ?
Does higher viscosity means more protection and shear stability or not?
What would you recommend?
