Visible+ Plan downtown STL on an iPhone 15 Pro
Certainly.Anyone checking this, at least in my experience, bandwidth or congestion can vary speeds all over the place. On VZW 5g at 10am, I only get 24 Mb/s down and 8 Mb/s up. I have gotten MUCH faster VZW speeds in the downtown area nearby and even faster in Columbus OH so they definitely prioritize their capacity.
And yet it was the fastest ping time of the three tests I did.I don't pay for Verizon UW, so the best I've seen is around 80 down, 85 up.
I wonder if your blazing download, and regular upload, and ping time (there's a bit of latency there I usually see 10-20 ms) is typical of what's called ultra wideband
In the old days, our work Verizon devices on unlimited plans, slowed at 22 gb. Today, it's 100 gb. And you guessed it--some employees complain and they surpass that. I find almost zero business need to be doing 100 gb in a period. My personal does about 3-5 gb now.And yet it was the fastest ping time of the three tests I did.
To be fair, I should have run three tests of each and provided the average values. But, the Mint Mobile account has a data cap and I didn't want to use 10-20% of my monthly allowance for the test.
Visible+ and my work provided AT&T phone don't have such caps.
I wouldn't be without data as I have Mint and Visible+ on the same phone and use cellular data switching. I just selected the cellular network I wanted for data before running each test.
