Doing the front passenger axle outer seal on my 1997 Blazer. Got the new seal in as well as the cv axle shaft and noticed this on the floor after. Looks like my seal puller tore it up? I don’t think I was in the seal, but it looks to be about that size. I’ve done the job before on the opposite side and didn’t notice this.

That is a cage for a bearing. Pull it back apart find the rollers and replace the bearing

You are correct. I pulled the shaft back out and some rollers fell out with it.
