Hi guys,

Buddy at work is trying to repair his starter clutch on his Suzuki Motorcycle. Found this video on Youtube and the guy is using a Specialty tool that he bought at HF.

In his post doesn't put the part number of picture of the part on his Post. Nice guy!!!!

Tool is shown at the 3:33 time mark on the video.

If you know the proper name of the tool it would be appreciated. Searched HF and come up with nothing.

Regards, JC.

Yes, that's not what that tool is designed to do, but an improvisation. You can also usually get the job done with just an oil-filter-type strap wrench. If you do need to go buy something, I'd suggest buying that instead as it's more useful in general for various tasks. Here's a very inexpensive set from HF:

Gear pullers like that can also be borrowed from autoparts stores like O'Reillys or NAPA in their "loaner tool" selection.

When you get it off, check the springs for evenness and wear. Also be aware you generally need to loctite or stake the bolts to guarantee they don't back out. They should be staked from the factory though I don't know that bike in particular.
