Napa Nascar and Napa Gold filters?

The Nascar is the cheaper line of filter than the Gold filter. Kind of like comparing Purolator's "Classic" and "PureONE". The Gold line probably filters a little better and has a silicon ADBV.

NAPA Golds are made by WIX ... but I'm not sure if the Nascar filter are too. If you don't mind spending a few bucks more, go with the Gold.

The Nascars are made by Wix also, but the filtering media is not quite as good as the Golds (still very good though) and it uses a nitrile ADBV instead of silicone. I've been using the Nascars on my Corvette for a few intervals now and the UOAs still look great.

In Alaska I'd probably pay extra for the Silicone ADBV in the winter months.

I mean, I prefer Silicone in the winter months here, and I imagine it's even colder there....
