I talked to some woman at Castrol, who was less than useful, who told me German Castrol 0W-30 had a HT/HS of 2.95@150 degrees C. I can't believe that. Does anyone really know? She refused to give me the Noack Volatility--it is "proprietary."

Wouldn't that be impossible as GC is ACEA A3 rated (both "green" and "gold"), and thus has to have a HT/HS > 3.5?

Perhaps she gave you the HT/HS specs for the older "domestic" Castrol Syntec 0w-30...the one that comes in the bottle with the yellow label?
It's 3.5 AFAIK.
