It's a straight 20 wt that meets both the low temp and high temp requirements of a 20 wt oil. In the "old days" the difference between a 20 wt and a 20w20 was the 20w20 had a pour point depressant.
We have some straight 20 that is in metal cans and is a bare minimum 15 years sitting there. Maybe 20. Maybe I'll donate it to a lab and post the results so we can discuss what effect shelf life has on deterioration.
