Finishing up the back yard sprinkler system.

(I love Utah Clay soil.. So fun to dig in...)

(its better than Utah Clay with Rock!)

When we moved in, we had to get some lawn in the back yard. So we did up to 10 feet away from the garage. Then I layed the Cement walkway around so we need to get the rest of the lawn in.

Like a smart person I am

I did not plan a third valve in this box so I had to rip out the old and put in a third one.

 -

Put in another hose bib for the back yard and added 3 pop up sprinklers to the 8th system (this station will water the small area here (40ft by 7 ft) and a strip in the front side yard (30ft by 10ft) which was done last year.

And the amazing thing is it all works really well! (whew)

So we have water on timers for the whole yard.

Now to get some Sod and lay it down and done with this project...

(more cement work in the future.. about 40 ft x 10ft on the back and 30 ft and 9 ft on the side)

I'm too old for this...

Thanks for your time! Bill

If you can get a satellite image of your house we can compare your grass to your neighbors'.

Google has a service but it's fairly far zoomed sometimes. Your tax assessor might have something better online through your town website.

It really looks green in those photos.

At least the clay ought to hold the water in.

It's that green.

This time of year you don't need to water it very often (though most people here water WAY too much)

Your correct, the clay does hold in the water fairly well.

Every thing for the system that I put in is working well.

Now to some more cement work..

Thanks, Bill

Here is a current shot of the "project"..

(Pardon all the crap next to the wall...)

Of course, we plan on putting down the sod when it was above 90 degrees...

Oh well, every thing works and all done on this side.

Now to the concrete on the other side..

Take care, Bill

Thanks Tony!

I wish I had more time... Not enough for all the things I'd like to do...
