I have a 01 ram 5.2 l ANd up here our temps in summer are hot and winter very cold -30 or colder even. So doI understand right by running a 10w30 for summer and 5 w30 for winter or am I backwards?This site is very informational but got to see if I understand

Well I drink Iron City because I know I will not have to share. No one around me will drink the stuff. Beer is beer to me it's wet, has alcohol, and they all taste a like to me. Other than that 10W30 should work fine for the summer and fall and 5W30 for winter will work ok.

Go with 5W30 winter and 10W30 summer and you will be fine.
