I find at harbor freight you very much get what you pay for. I only buy stuff from them that I would use once a year or so, otherwise they don't last that long.

about 70% of the stuff I have stays in my pickup. I keep my 2 tool boxes with sockets/ wrenches/ratchets in my cab along with my clear face sheild and my welding mask. my power tools in non waterproof cases go in the cross-the-bed toolbox, and the ones in waterproof cases go under the bed box. my welder (bobcat 225NT)also lives in the back of the truck under a Miller canvas cover. I've also got another toolbox full of misc. stuff in the bed. the other 30% of my tools ( mostly shop equipment i.e. engine stand, crane, bench grinder, etc) are in storage currently.

I like SK and Craftsman for most handtools. Fluke for meters. Porter-Cable and Bosch for woodworking stuff. Senco for nail guns. Klien for screwdrivers and pliers. But my absolute favorite tool, the one I would run into my burning garage to save, is ..... my Knipex Alligator pliers. All my Channel Locks and Vise-Grips collect dust now.

Yes SK are still made in the USA. CSK (Kragen, Schucks and whatever the "C" stands for) can special order them I reciently got a stubby metric SK wrench set from Kragen that covers 10mm-19mm, I paid $36 +tax!

Nobody else has any Power-Kraft? They were the JC Penney's brand when they were into hardware. I lost my 3/8 combo wrench, but still have the 1/4 and 5/16'' ones. I didn't buy them from Penney's. I picked them up at a surplus/salvage place. A lot of good stuff, cheap, my 16'' Channellocks, a Ames dial indicator, a Proto 1/2 breaker bar, and a bunch of other stuff I don't completely remember after 35 years.

I've got a set of Powr-Kraft ratcheting box end wrenches that I inherited. I love them.. I like them a lot better than the craftsman offset ratching box end that I have. they're just much much smoother. and Made in the USA!
