Bought by mistake thinking they were double stick tape pieces which 3M 468MP is, but it's actually that stuck to mylar. Any idea what they are intended to be used for?

More like a canning thing. I think of a preservative as some sort of chemical used in an industrial canning process.

Got it. They are for stencil making machines. They come in a myriad of sizes and thicknesses.

Adhesive back mylar can be used to repair all kinds of things - like tarps, tents, awnings, boat covers, etc. They also sell it in a roll - like duct tape.

The mylar is pretty thick so not very flexible. It feels pretty slick almost like Teflon. Thinking maybe between parts that slide together.
