I bought a 87 CRX (carburated) for $250 last November. Upon picking up the car I did an oil change, added FP and drove it 180 miles home.
My carb knowlege is very limited and it seemed like that the float was a little high, but I didn't know anything. Finally when I became more familiar with the car I looked at the float again, but didn't see anything. The car was running OK, so I decided to just wait it out till it got warmer so I could really dig into the car.
Today was that day. I looked at the float and saw nothing. So I cleaned the glass and still saw nothing. For the **** of it I turned the float screw and finally saw the fuel line at the top of the window. Tuned it back and now all is well.
214,000 miles on original engine and carb AFAIK and now it runs great.
