I am planning to install the Weathertechs on my 2021 Honda HRV.. The Honda OEM uses two brackets and tape...Anybody have any pros and cons of the Weathertech version...I really dont want to install the OEM Honda because it uses 3m tape to seal it...

The Weathertech in channels are made by Autoventshade (AVS). You might look at theirs too if there is a price difference. I run both AVS in channel and external mount and they both work fine. Sometimes the in channel can work funky with automatic windows closing which is why I'm guessing Honda may use a different way of mounting them.

I dont think that AVS makes them...The weathertech are full in chanell and the AVS is part in channel and part 3m tape...

It's been a few years since I worked for AVS, but they did then. However you may be correct.

I have the WeatherTech ones on my truck and I like them. I bought them on Amazon and realized that the price there was the same as direct from Weathertech with shipping.

I had a set of Weathertech in-channel for years. Never gave a problem. Five minute installation, no leaks, no cracks, stayed on the car when I sold it; frankly I should install some on my new car.

I purchased the in-channel because I didn’t trust the tape mount method to remain sealed for the long term.
