We still use our crockpot..

We use our crockpot at least 2 days a week. Nothing makes meat more tender, or seals in flavor like an 8 hour slow cook. Not to mention in the Summer, she puts it out on the back patio, and it doesn't heat up the house like the oven.
My Instant Pot is nothing more than a countertop decoration. It makes great 'baked' potatoes, but nothing else I've made in it has turned out worth eating. My sister sent me two instant pot cookbooks in hopes that I would be inspired, but I wretch at most of the recipes. And the complexity and number of steps in some of the recipes makes me laugh. Put this in, sear it, take it out, put this in, boil it, take it out. Big electric paperweight.
We use our crockpot often best way to slow cook about anything!
We still use ours….Chicken drumsticks, Pulled pork, Chili, Corned Beef, Beef-steak Stew, just to name a few……..wow, I’m getting

Love a good stew made in a slow cooker.
We've also got an off brand "insta-pot" which to me makes things cooked in it taste just like a slow cooker, but takes a fraction of the time.

Smoked a butt and then in the crock pot. Smoked chili verde.
Check your Instant Pot....it may also be a Slow Cooker....mine is.
Every instant pot is also a slow cooker. A crock pot is just a pressure cooker without the pressure

Only time I use one is for the Thanksgiving Day bird otherwise I will stick with the crockpot. I would never consider running my oven during the warmer weather anyway.
