We got a Prologue!

I've loved this car since it was first shown/announced and today I leased one.

Sharing the car with my partner so it's half the price.

Halfway through the 3 hours we spent at the dealer I wished we were buying a Tesla as we would have been home already. I really do hate the car dealership experience.

Anyway, it's an AWD Touring model. I specifically wanted this configuration because Touring has the premium (Bose) audio system but the smaller 19" wheels. I would have been fine with a base model (EX) but I didn't like the audio system. And an Elite was out of the question both from a pricing perspective but also because I didn't want the 21" wheels.

Maybe in a month or so I will post a thorough review of the vehicle, but for now I have to say I absolutely love it, and only have two gripes:

1. It's not fast. It's not slow, it's totally fine, but for Tesla money I would have liked a little more juice. Most of the competitors are more fun when you push the pedal down.
2. I might research this further, but I didn't find any way to link the driver profiles to the keys and/or the 1/2 memory buttons on the door. So, as we're sharing this car, we have to get in the car, press the button on the door for the seat/mirror settings, and on the screen select our profile by name. Not the end of the world, but as far as I know, Tesla has this sorted, right?

Overall, I understand why more people pick the Model Y over the Prologue. It's just, when you look at the numbers, a way better value, and of course, way more fun to drive. But it's my opinion the Prologue looks better, rides way better, and I prefer how traditional it is - normal door handles, a power button to turn the car on and off, a column shifter, physical climate controls, etc.

Hopefully your Prologue shares some minor body/trim parts with existing Honda models so it won't be a hassle acquiring them if they ever break. Also, if you're a traditionalist in terms of automotive styling and ergonomics, I think the Honda so far is the least offensive of all the EV's out there.

Congrats! Question, can these be serviced by GM, too? I remember my Dad servicing his Passport by an Isuzu dealership back in the day. But that was just a rebadge.

Nice looking car and the specs look good but it sounds like you really wanted a Tesla. 2 EVs now?

Sorry if I came off that way. No, I don't really want a Tesla. I like them - I have nothing against them - I've driven them - they're great - I just don't want one.

I was just making comparisons to the Model Y as that is a super popular vehicle that's basically a direct competitor so if people are cross shopping these two, they can compare them as well as possible given my brief overview of the vehicle.

Apparently it's a sister to the Chevy Blazer EV. Honda's proprietary EVs are not quite ready. The Prologue is pretty attractive.

Are you charging at a wall outlet there? My daughter mentioned she likes this car a Honda Prologue. Style thing, and it probably is not exactly like the Blazer.
Not quite fast enough, takes too long to buy it. So what would you be doing at home with the extra 1.5 hours? If mentionable, out of curiosity. I ask myself this question when I get in a hurry mode, which is not often.

Yep, we charge the EVs using level 1 charging, which is literally just plugged into a regular wall outlet. So far this has been good enough for the Bolt, and it's going to have to be good enough for the Prologue because that's all we have.

Congrats! I have 4,000 miles on my Blazer EV and it’s been excellent 👍. GM’s OTA update program just started up too - hopefully Hondas get them also.

I have some ideas if the immobilizer system were Hondas, but I think GM did that too (your fob is a GM key, right?) So, maybe a GM owner with personalized driver keys can chime in. I'd check your manual, some vehicles require to to do a lock/unlock sequence with the fob when set to the desired driver profile to link.
