Water leaking from humidifier

Today I noticed both our humidifiers (they're part of the Rheem heaters/furnaces) leak water pretty badly.

This is our first house, so I'm new to these things. We moved in back in March. It was new construction.

Is it safe to assume that the filters/water panels need replacing? When I took the cover off, it looks like the water is dripping from the top instead of being absorbed by the water panel and making its way into the drain tray at the bottom.

its time for a new water panel and to clean out the hose, that will fix it.

you should change the water panel every year the build up mineral deposits, which hampers air flow though it.

Thanks. It took a while to find the right filter (had to order it through the contractor that installed this furnace from a local a Rheem wholesaler), but now that it's replaced, the leak seems to have stopped.

Did you check on line? I recently purchased several pads for an AutoFlo on our furnace-locally they wanted $15 or more each. On line I was able to find them at about 1/3 the price. I just Googled AutoFlo and Replacement Pad.

Another thought-at our previous home we had a humidifier with a pad inside an open sided 2 piece plastic case. I was able to find similar pad material in a larger size, cut it down on the band saw and replace just the pad. It was a lot less expensive than replacing the entire unit.

I did, but I couldn't wait for them to be shipped. The price I got locally was actually cheaper than the lowest price I found on line.

Yeah, mine are like that - it's basically just a pad that you stick in a plastic frame.
