water coming thru air vents

so, these past few days ive noticed condensation on my air vents, and even some water dripping down my center console coming from the vents when the a/c is on. i remember lots of water coming out of vents in my old car, and it was from a clogged evap canister. anyone have ideas on what could cause this?

Usually a clogged evap housing drain. Or in the case of early '90s T-Bird/Cougars, faulty blower plenum design.

Check that AC drain first, a wire coat hanger works nifty for this task.

That was the problem on my A/C. I took a big pipe cleaner and cleaned out the drain hose, then shoved it up inside the A/C and dislodged all sorts of gunk. As soon as the pipe cleaners started coming out clean, I stopped. The moisture problem went away after that.

Just be careful not to poke a hole in the evaporator, especially if you're using a hanger or something else with a sharp end.
