Worry when the PH16, PH8A, PH3600 etc. are over $3.77.

Good point but the AC Delco PF46E for $7 went up by almost $4 and its a very common filter used on GM's.

Expect them to go up more for the new D1G2 GM filters!

At Walmart, the FRAM TG oil filter for my car (Hyundai, TG9688) went up to almost $9 when the new ones came out. I might as well buy the Ultra filter since it is not even $1 more than the TG filter.

Prices going up seems to be the case in many different stores. For example, at Federated Auto Parts, the air filters for my car cost about $10 - $11 (Federated filter brand) and about $13 - $14 (Hastings) last year and the year before that. This year the prices went up quite a bit, with the Federated filter at $15 and the Hastings filter at $18 now. I opted to buy the air filter somewhere else.

the only price changes that I've noticed at the local walmart is toughguards went up, i imagine it has something to do with the NEW label on the boxes.

but i can still get them for the cheaper price at the local fleet.

supertech and motorcraft filters are the same price and i think the extraguards are still the same? i dunno i don't use the extraguards.
