Seems like I've heard this before, but the article says that the cars were produced with the recalled parts through September of 2011, so it can't be that old. If this is a repeat post, my apologies.

Yeah, this is new. There was something similar last year, but last year it was the gasoline engines that were the subject of a recall, IIRC.
