VW eyeing Navistar

They're already in the truck business.

Shoulda known they are huge.

Speaking of which, I saw a VW pickup in a Swedish 4 Motion VW test promo, looked like a smaller Avalanche but it had the VR6. I'd thing the US market would be a good target for such a vehicle. Don't even know what they called it.

That's the VW Amarok.

VW also owns MAN and Scania.

Doesn't Navistar make most school buses?

They make a good chunk of them. They are mostly contract business from what I can gather. Trucks were and still are to some extent their bread and butter business but school buses, military contracts and engine production for other companies are big parts of their business strategy.

Many would say this is not your fathers Cornbinder.
